Hi, I’m Krishana: I’m a mama, birth worker, healer and reproductive justice activist. I ground my work in Black queer feminism. When the most marginalized are free, we all are free. I felt called to birth work after having a traumatic experience with a medical provider not believing my pain and concern during a previous pregnancy that left me in the ER. I didn’t feel heard in my experience; and I’m here to make sure no other Black birthing people have that experience. As a doula I’m here to ensure you are heard, believed and advocated for throughout your pregnancy.
Born and raised in Baltimore, I am committed to ensuring that all birthing people have good birth outcomes, regardless of zip code, income, gender or ability. |
